What is the Parareal World Project?

Parareal is a term coined by HIKKY, combining “parallel universe” and “real,” meant to convey an existence paralleling the real world with the metaverse. The Parareal World Project aims to redefine cities of the real world in the Metaverse to propose an alternate environment synergizing the real world and the Metaverse. HIKKY is working to redefine 100 cities, from around the globe, in the Metaverse to provide Parareal Cities in which all people can live out their lives as they wish.

Parareal Shibuya

Opened as the corporate exhibition venue for Virtual Market 2021. Take one step inside and you will be immersed in the finely reproduced cityscape of Shibuya, one of the pop culture hubs of the real world. The sky is linked with the actual weather of the real world, the skyscrapers continue to grow with the number of visitors, and pop-up boards display information of　both the real and virtual cities. This was the first embodiment of the concept of Parareal.

Parareal Akihabara

After serving as the venue for Comic Vket2, it made its grand opening as the corporate exhibition venue for Virtual Market 2021. From the Electric Town Gate of Akihabara Station through the heart of the Electric Town, and towards the Suehirocho district, a wide area has been elaborately reproduced in virtual space. Gimmicks that give a first-hand experience of AR, enormous characters, the entire Electric Town turned into a rainbow-illuminated stage, Parareal Akihabara is packed with metaverse-exclusive features.

Parareal New York

Opened as the corporate exhibition venue for Virtual Market 2022 Summer. The first overseas city to join the Parareal project. A hoverboard will help you glide through the glorious and colorful streets of the world’s greatest entertainment metropolis in style. Numerous other metaverse-exclusive contents await you at Parareal New York.

Parareal Osaka

Opened as the corporate exhibition venue for Virtual Market 2022 Summer. Japan’s second largest metropolis has been brought into the virtual world. Numerous eateries clustered together surrounded by dazzling neon signs beneath the brilliant night sky. An embodiment of the city known for smiles and gourmet food. The two landmarks of the heart of Osaka, Tsutenkaku and Ebisubashi bridge await you. And to top it all off, the fireworks will deliver a nice summer vibe all year long.

Para-real Paris

Open as a venue for corporate exhibitors at Virtual Market 2022Winter. The Eiffel Tower rises higher than a rainbow in the clear blue sky. Paris, the city of flowers, the center of French culture and one of the world's leading tourist cities, is now on metaverse.

Para-real Nagoya

Nagoya, a leading city in the Tokai region, was the venue for corporate exhibitors at Virtual Market 2022 Winter. Nagoya Castle, golden killer whales, and the combination of dynamic skyscrapers and beautiful nature have been recreated from the unique perspective of Para-real.

Para-real Sapporo

Sapporo" from Hokkaido, the land of the north, was the venue for corporate exhibitors at Virtual Market 2022 Winter. The orderly and beautiful cityscape of Sapporo has been recreated. Numerous snow statues have been set up in the virtual city to evoke the winter of Sapporo. You can enjoy Sapporo with powdery snow.

Para-real Las Vegas

Las Vegas, the world-class entertainment city, was opened as the corporate venue for Virtual Market 2023 Summer. A huge dome covering the entire city represents Las Vegas by glittering night. Just walking around the glamorous streets under the beautiful starry sky will be a pleasure.

Para-real Fukuoka

Fukuoka, Kyushu's leading city, was the corporate venue for Virtual Market 2023 Summer. Visitors was able to enjoy a cityscape that concentrates all the elements of Fukuoka, including the Nakasu area, Dazaifu area, and Itoshima area, with Fukuoka's famous low-flying airplanes, udon noodles, and mentaiko (seasoned cod roe) set up throughout the city.
